Abstract
This paper explores the question, “How do projects realize sustainable development benefits through co creation with stakeholders?” As sustainable development is a multidisciplinary concept, it requires integrative thinking and action with a multiplicity of stakeholders to create value that extends beyond the project, or the creation of “shared value.” This implies co creation of benefits with various stakeholders. A conceptual framework is presented based on the emerging theme of project SD benefits realization, stakeholder management and project co creation and applied to a case study of sustainable agriculture project developed and implemented with multiple stakeholders to answer the research question.
