Abstract (German)

Im Rahmen dieses Projekts soll aufgezeigt werden, welche Faktoren im Bereich des nachhaltigen städttischen Tourismus zum Erfolg führen. Dabei soll vor allem der Frage nachgegangen werden, welchen Beitrag Partnerschaften zwischen Privaten und der öffentlichen Hand auf lokaler Ebene leisten können.<P>
Hauptuntersuchungsfocus liegt auf den vier Partnerstädten (Heidelberg, Thessaloniki, Veliko Turnovo und Graz). Deren Performance im Bereich Nachhaltigkeit im städtischen Tourismus soll anhand von Fallbeispielen (welche öffentlich private Partnerschaften beleuchten) berarbeitet werden. Diese "best practice" Beispiele stellen die Basis dar für ein Benchmarking tool welches im späteren Projektverlauf auf 150 Städte angewandt werden soll.


Abstract (English)

The goal of this project is to identify the main factors of success concerning sustainable urban tourism. The main question is to identify the contribution of public private private partnerships at the local level.<P>
Two partnerships in each partner city (Heidelberg, Thessaloniki, Veliko Turnovo und Graz) will be examinated in detail, to assess their performance concerning sustainable urban tourism. These examples will be the basis for a benchmarking tool, which will be disseminated to 150 cities
