Abstract (English)
ASCOT (Adult Social Care Outcomes Toolkit), developed by the University of Kent (England), enables to assess the quality of life of people in need of care and their informal carers. In addition, ASCOT is also useful for evaluating quality-of-life effects of care service provision.
The team at the WU Research Institute for Aging Economics translated ASCOT into German and tested the tools.
Since 2020, WU has been authorized to issue licenses and thus to make the German-language ASCOT survey instruments and related materials available to interested persons and organizations.
In addition, the German version of ASCOT is being further developed by the ASCOT team at WU (Research Institute for Economics of Aging).
